Environmental Lead

Led a team working on organic open world environments. Created unique and alien landscapes and helped establish pipelines and technical needs to push the visuals to achieve realism in a new graphics engine.

I over saw asset development both in-house and outsourced. I built prototype landscapes to show examples of how the assets should be used. I oversaw level designers and world builders responsible for building the test levels to make sure the team was hitting the vision the art director and concept team had provided.

I also worked closely with traversal team to ensure the natural environments provided the same themes and elements as other areas of the game.

Environmental Lead

Efficiently ran a team of 28 people responsible for creating the open world environments. My team consisted of asset creation, level designers, and world builders.

I joined the ESO team while still in early preproduction and was responsible for building the team, developing pipelines, establishing visual quality, and helping steer the production of the tools for environmental world building.

I worked with the asset team as we developed each new zone to make each biome set unique to the part of Tameral we were creating. I created example mini zones (Beautiful Corners) to showcase how each zone should look and ensure all the natural assets where cohesive in fidelity and theme.

I oversaw level design progress and coordinated with story and design teams. I provided guidance for the zone through world building, lighting and polish phases.

I did this for every zone in ESO until moving over the new project in 2022.
